Welcome to the Flying Dogs of Greenville (FlyDOG). FlyDOG is a dog and disc club located in Greenville, North Carolina. We are training in the sports of agility and flying disc with the hopes of one day training in flyball and dock diving. FlyDOG is not a training facility, but rather a club for owners to meet and set up play days with their canines.  

While there may be a training video offered occasionally, owners are encouraged to seek the training of a professional. Locally, you can contact Top Dog Academy. Classes begin every few weeks and the staff is very knowledgable.

We invite those in the Pitt County and surrounding areas to join in the development of this club to promote canine atheletics and responsible pet ownership.

Our mission, first and foremost, is to promote excellent pet ownership and canine well being. Secondly, we believe that a strong bond between canine and owner is essential to leading a fulfilled life with your pet. Canine sports, such as disc play, can strengthen that bond as well as provide excellent and fun exercise for both owner and dog alike.

Flying Dogs of Greenville was created after I spent several hours and countless emails trying to find a dog and disc club in eastern North Carolina. I've only been involved in canine sports for 3 months but I've always loved the sports of agility and freestyle disc play with canines.

When I was unable to find a club within 3 hours of Greenville, I made the decision to continue playing disc with my dog and start a club as a by product of disc play to promote the sport further. Greenville is full of dogs and owners who share an interest in the well being of their pets. Why not bring those owners and dogs together for some fun activities?

The exercise provided from the sports of agility and disc play can greatly decrease the destructive nature of many dogs. I've seen it with my own dog.

These sports are also a great way to relieve the stress of a normal work week for us owners. Besides, what better way is there to enjoy the great outdoors than with your best friend?

FlyDOG was created for the sports of agility and disc play but that isn't to say those will be the only activities involved as time goes on. I also share an interest in Flyball, Dock Diving, and even hiking with my canine.
